Asst.Prof.Dr. Linda Gainma, the President of BSRU, revealed that on June 1st, Times Higher Education announced the results of the Impact Rankings 2023, which assess universities worldwide on their sustainable development goals (SDGs). A total of 1,591 universities participated, and BSRU joined the rankings for the first time, securing the position of 2nd among Rajabhat Universities, 20th in Thailand and 601-800 worldwide with a total score of 62.2 out of 100. This ranking reflects BSRU’s commitment to social responsibility in all dimensions, as declared in our policy starting from 2565 (2022) based on the United Nations framework of “Leaving no one behind.”
BSRU has achieved outstanding results in line with the SDGs goals. It ranked 1st among Rajabhat Universities in Goal 16, “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions,” and Goal 17, “Partnership for Goals,” alongside the top 10 universities in Thailand. Goal 17 received a high score of 79.4 out of 100 and was ranked 201-300 globally. Additionally, for our actions in Goal 1, “No Poverty,” BSRU was ranked 10th in Thailand and 201-300 globally. Goal 4, “Quality Education,” ranked 401-600 globally, and Goal 3, “Good Health and Well-being,” ranked 601-800 globally.
As a result of these achievements, BSRU has launched the website http://sdg.bsru.ac.th to serve as a central platform for collecting and presenting the university’s works related to the 17 SDGs. This initiative is part of our 5-year strategic plan, which includes the establishment of a learning center to drive sustainable development and transform the university into a green institution that supports Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in social, economic, and environmental aspects.
